Fitting Your Kids Feet with the Right Shoes

The best way for fitting your kids feet with the right shoes is, of course, to have a footwear professional measure and fit your kid's feet on a regular basis.



Children grow rapidly, and some can have 3-4 changes in their foot size within a 12 month period.

Dr Noelle Larson M.D. Mayo Clinic Orthopaedic Surgeon, says research indicates that at any given time, nearly a third of children may be wearing shoes that are too small because they have outgrown them.


This can be very detrimental to your child's foot health in the early years and could even lead to foot deformities in later years.

Dr Noelle Larson recommends that for small children you should pick a wide shoe, with a wide toe box, so the toes aren't being crowded at the front of the foot and pick a shoe with a flexible soul.
